What is the Walk With Jesus Beach Walk Fundraiser?
It’s a community event where participants walk together along the beach to raise funds and awareness for Salty Farm Ministries’ outreach to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Where and when is the event?
The walk will begin and end behind Sharky’s restaurant with a 1 mile and 2 mile walk route along the beach. The walk will take place on Oct 10th. Walk Check-In begins at 9am. The walk will kick off at 10am with awards/recognition around 11am. A more detailed schedule will be shared closer to the walk.

Who can participate?
Everyone is welcome! Individuals, families, church groups, and teams can all join. This is a family-friendly event. However, no pets allowed on this part of the beach.

How do I register as an individual walker?

How do I form a team?

Forming a team means more fun! Whether you are a family & friends team, church team, corporate team, or other like-minded group, come together to Walk with Jesus! We are better together and teams should strive to include 10 or more individuals. However, there is no limit as to how large or small a team can be. Select “Register a Team” and create your team. Then, follow the steps to grow your team and help raise crucial funds to expand our mission. Also, use the Team Captain Guide page on the website as a tool to lead your team!

Is there a registration fee?
While registration may be free, participants are encouraged to fundraise to support the mission.

Do I have to raise money to participate?
Fundraising is encouraged but not required. However, every participant is invited to set a personal goal and help us reach our overall goal of $150,000.

How do I fundraise?
Once registered, you can share your personal donation link with friends, family, and coworkers. We also provide tips and resources to help you reach your goal on the Walker's Hub page.

What should be my fundraising goal?

Light Bearers raise $250 – helping bring encouragement and practical support to those in need. Every step you take carries hope into the community.

Hope Carriers raise $500 – demonstrating strong commitment to the mission—building faith in action and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

Faith in Action Champions raise $1000 - leading by example through generosity and impact. You are truly being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Kingdom Impact Leaders raise $5000 - a powerful force for change—helping expand the mission and bring lasting transformation to lives in need.

Where do the funds go?
All proceeds support Salty Farm Ministries’ outreach efforts, including providing food, showers, clothing, discipleship, and support services to individuals experiencing homelessness. This event helps the ministry to expand their services to reach new lives in new areas of our community.

Can I donate without walking?
Absolutely! You can support the mission by making a donation directly here.

 

Can I accept cash or check donations?

Yes. However, online donations are much easier if it is possible! But if unavoidable...In order for you to receive credit for the donation and for your individual and our overall progress to be updated, please contact Rachelle Dunahee at rdunahee@saltyfarmministries.org for further instructions. 

 

Where can I find a receipt to give to my donor who gave me an offline donation?

Print and fill out one of the receipts in this downloadable document. All online donors will receive a receipt via email.

What should I bring?
Comfortable walking shoes, water (water will also be provided throughout the walk), sunscreen, and a positive spirit! More details will be shared closer to the event.
